From the quiet parks of Kurukshetra to the pulse of Mumbai’s creative scene, Soeb Akhtar—better known by his stage name POWERMINE—has danced through life’s challenges with raw emotion, relentless drive, and an undying passion for expression. A breaker, dancer, and content creator, Soeb’s story is less about performance and more about perseverance, purpose, and power—both on and off the dance floor.

Finding Light in the Dark

Soeb’s journey didn’t begin with a stage or spotlight. In 2014, after being uprooted from his childhood school in Kurukshetra, he spiraled into a difficult period of depression. Isolated and lost, he dropped out of school and found himself aimlessly drifting—until one day in a park, fate intervened. Two boys practicing breakdance caught his eye. That single moment, a quiet curiosity, set the foundation for everything to come.

Unable to afford dance classes, Soeb leaned into raw learning—watching, imitating, practicing in parks and open spaces. Mentored by peers who believed in sharing rather than competing, he grew alongside dancers who shared the same hunger. Eventually, they formed a crew that would become his anchor and inspiration—Rock Killer Crew.

Learning Without Limits

Soeb never received formal training. Instead, he built his skillset through community, collaboration, and commitment. He absorbed styles from fellow dancers, merged breakdancing with hip-hop, contemporary, and even shuffle, creating a unique signature that transcends labels. His crew became both his classroom and his canvas.

My group is my teacher. They made me who I am.” he says.

Today, Soeb is not just a dancer—he’s a storyteller. He crafts content that fuses movement with creative video editing, producing visually compelling work that lives across fashion, lifestyle, and cultural projects. His content has a pulse—a rhythm born of emotion and resilience.

The Viral Leap That Changed It All

Among his many creations, one solo project stands out. It was a video where Soeb froze mid-air during a breakdancing move while the camera spun 360° around him. Shot entirely by himself—with a tripod and sheer will—it took over three hours of filming and five hours of editing. The result? Over 4.2 million views and a breakthrough that brought him to Mumbai.

That moment wasn’t just about virality. It was proof that vision, paired with grit, can turn a solo effort into a career-defining leap.

Pain, Patience & Power

Soeb’s journey hasn’t been without setbacks. In 2022, overtraining led to a major shoulder injury, followed by another on the opposite side. What could have ended his career only refined his perspective. He used the downtime to explore lower-body strength and continued dancing with whatever tools his body allowed. A year of physiotherapy, slow progress, and conscious rebuilding followed—and today, while he still avoids certain moves, he dances with more intention than ever before.

This experience taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of recovery.

The Fuel Behind the Moves

Soeb draws inspiration from everywhere—people striving in their own fields, new places that stir new emotions, and even anime or cinema that portray transformation and growth. Every move he makes is an expression of something deeper, whether joy, rage, or healing.

His creative process is instinctive yet structured:
“Idea sparks, I feel it, visualize it, let the emotions flow, bring it to life through content, roll the camera, edit with heart—and post with purpose.”

A Platform with Purpose

Soeb’s current focus is building a social media presence that’s more than entertainment. He wants his content to reflect him—his thoughts, his life, and the process behind every performance. It’s not just about dancing for the camera. It’s about connection, authenticity, and letting others know they’re not alone in their journey.

He dreams of becoming a successful influencer who motivates others to stay disciplined, passionate, and true to themselves. Giving back to the people who stood by him—including his family—is a core part of that vision.

Breaking Barriers, Building Legacy

What Soeb tries to communicate through his art is simple yet powerful:
Your limits are often illusions.
You can express, evolve, and elevate—if you trust the process.

His advice to artists echoes that sentiment:

“Don’t declare loudly that you’re an artist—just be a human who found a way to feel deeply and express honestly. A true artist lives with joy and quietly inspires others to do the same.”
